A CSE bibliography.
Don’t bust your brain over it. Carmun makes formatting a no-brainer.
So what is CSE or Council of Science Editors?
It began as the Council of Biology Editors and came with excellent credentials. The National Science Foundation and the American Institute of Biological Sciences established it in 1957. The group changed its name in 2000 to the Council of Science Editors because it “more accurately reflects our expanding membership,” according to the CSE Web site.
Because of the differences between humanities citations and writing – for instance, use of quotations – and scientific papers – who are you going to quote, a decimal point? – the styles aren’t going to be the same.
CSE is a big gun in science and related subjects.
